Macular hole is a medical condition that affects the interface between the retina and the vitreous.[1] Currently, they are classified according to two systems: the Gass classification, based on the fundus examination, which categorizes them into Stages from 0 to 4, and according to The International Vitreomacular Traction Study Group (IVTS), which divides them into small, medium and large, according to the horizontal measurement of the smallest diameter of the macular hole obtained by Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT).[2] A case of a 69-year-old male patient with grade II macular hole is presented.
